'Musical Village' are a community of choirs catering for people of all ages and abilities in Leicester and Leicestershire. We welcome all who love singing and want to share the enjoyment and fun with the community.
There are several choirs to choose from in different parts of Leicestershire, running during the day and evening, all at an affordable price; Choose a choir in LFE, Enderby, Market Bosworth and Braunstone. A FREE session is offered so why not come and give it a try;
There are opportunities to perform in concerts at different venues, and to sing at special events: In 2015 we sang for Richard III as his cortège processed through Market Bosworth on the way to Leicester Cathedral; In 2015 and again in 2016, we have accompanied Russell Watson on his UK tour on stage at the Curve theatre and De Montfort Hall in Leicester, Norwich, King's Lynn and Wolverhampton; Earlier in 2017 we accompanied Sam Bailey on her UK tour 'Sing My Heart Out' at 9 venues across the UK. In 2017 we felt privileged to be asked again to accompany Russell Watson on 8 of his 9 concerts as he travelled around the UK on his sell out 'Serenade tour' and in 2018 we have travelled to 14 venues across the UK singing with Russell on his Canzoni d'Amore UK tour.
Members receive rehearsal mp3s so that they can practise at home or in the car!;
Our repertoire includes world music, spiritual, pop classics, contemporary, folk, light classical and show hits;
There are lots of social events during the year including meals, theatre trips and quizzes;
